We are simply the perfect venue for a group gathering. Read today's blog to understand why!
This morning I chatted to a group of friends who had booked the Lodge for the weekend in order to get together and spend some time completely focussed on each other. When they left, they were not only relaxed, happy and carefree but mentioned that they felt their emotional cup was full once more, their friendships stronger and their hearts content. The hugs were long and meaningful, the farewells were eased by the knowledge that they planned to repeat the reunion again next year and so this was simply “till next time.” It was extremely touching to see and to witness the importance of taking this time to get together, laugh, share and make new memories.
The group could not have been more positive and complementary about the Lodge – comfortable beds, great space, immaculate cleanliness, ideal location and well equipped with everything they needed and more.
I’m so lucky to share many of these weekends with groups who I have met and who met each other on charity treks in remote and far flung corners of the world and who reunite at Eastfield Lodge having not seen each other since these life changing challenges. On a walk straight from the door, the buzz of conversation, reminiscing and sharing tales fills the dales and doesn’t stop until the Lodge stands empty again on Monday morning in the knowledge that another special time has been created within its walls.
Kimberley’s video captures the essence of just one of these reunions and every group make it their own with celebratory meals, games, stories and activities but the house stands fast as if the keeper of these moments, the creator of magical and shared times – long may this be the case. It’s simply the perfect venue for a group gathering.
